The theme of this competition is "THE POWER"

Here's a chance for you to pick up the camera. Be a photojournalist and capture a moment with tremendous power to stir up emotion, tears, changing events, break our hearts and inspire us. Clue: A photograph of passion, headline news, natural disaster, landscape that dwelled upon a past, moving and compelling images that tell a story can be included within this theme. This is where you come in!

Edit how you see fit to edit, however, please note that your photo will not be judged based on your ability to edit a photo, but, on the use of the theme in your photo.

Who Can Enter The Free Photography Contest

Anyone who has a camera with an itchy shutter finger can enter this competition. No matter where you are from, or who you are, this competition is for EVERYONE!
Time Frame of Competition

This competition will run from the 26th January to the close of play (global) on the 25th July 2011.

Judging of Free Photography Contest

Judges will review and compare the entries in each category—and then assign each entry a rating from 1-5 on each of the following criteria: (1) aesthetics/composition (2) technical perfection. The entries with the highest scores will become finalists. The judges will review and discuss the finalists collectively in reference to the stated criteria; and in so doing, they will decide the winner.
