Rather than the usual wildlife competitions we thought we`d have a different theme this time.
We have two nikon cameras up for grabs in our next competition, the theme this time is "TRANSPORTATION", ie boats, trains, cars, motorbikes, planes and anything that can be determined as a mode of transport.

NOTE THIS COMPETITION STARTS ON MONDAY 4TH JULY AND WILL RUN UNTIL THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 1ST.

Theme: Transportation

ENTRY FEE: £2 per image

1ST PRIZE: NIKON D5100 DSLR with kit lens
2ND PRIZE: NIKON COOLPIX P7000

We are looking for images of "TRANSPORTATION" any aspect of transport from trains, planes, cars, trucks, boats, motorbike etc, the more the image stands out the better.

As usual don’t be afraid to take many shots of just one subject. Maybe take your camera to work or when your out walking the dog, you never know when that perfect photo will arise. A special photo usually takes many shots to create, and with digital, the ability to erase the mundane ones is a great advantage.

Transportation Photo Contest TERMS & CONDITIONS

* Copyright: You will retain copyright of your entries at all times and will always be credited alongside your picture.

* By entering this competition, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display your photograph in connection with this contest.

* Eligibility: Open to to participants worldwide, aged 16 or over.
* Restrictions: No restrictions set for this competition.
* Entry fee: £2 per image
* Entry deadline: thursday 1st sept 2011

* All entries must be photographs taken by you.
* Please do not submit more than 10 images to this competition.
* Please keep digital manipulation such as cloning and compositing to a minimum.
* Winning photographs will be selected by our panel of pro photographer judges and our decision is final.
* Winners announced via e-mail or phone on 9th sept 2011.
* This is a contest of images of "transportation" only.
* Do not enter photographs that have been illegally downloaded or obtained.
* If people appear in any of your photographs, you must be able to provide model releases to EUROWILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION.
* Photographs should accurately reflect the reality of the subject matter and the scene as it naturally appeared.
* Slight digital adjustments of color, contrast and exposure are allowed, as is cropping. However, photos that have been heavily digitally altered and/or digital composites, as determined by the sole discretion of the judges, will be disqualified.
* Submitted images should be a minimum of 1024 pixels along the long edge. Images must not include a watermark or OR sent with hidden text or script
* Images must be re-named with name of entrant.
* Prizes will be supplied to the overall winners by EWP DIRECT proof of address will be needed prior to posting, as to verify your paypal payment address.

Transportation Photo Contest Eligibility & Judging

* Entries may originate from film or digital files but must be submitted electronically as JPEGs.

* Photographs will be judged anonymously on the following criteria: artistic value, content, composition, originality and technical expertise.

* A team of EWP staff members who select images for our various publications will judge the contest.

* This is a skill-based contest, and chance plays no part in the determination of the winners.

* The team will select 15 finalists, The prize winners and honorable mention winners will come from this group.

* The finalists will then be placed for our judges to vote. The voting by our judges will determine the grand prize winner & second prize winner for this category.
