Singapore Malaysia Philippines Recipe Giveaway

1. This giveaway is open only to Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines residents aged 18 years or over. The giveaway will run throughout 2012.

2. To be eligible for the giveaway, you must submit a unique version of a recipe and an accompanying photo via the entry form found at www.rdasia.com. Recipes can be a traditional or well-known dish but must include a unique variation that is your own. Accompanying photos must depict the recipe, as cooked by you.

3. The promotional material, information on how to submit your recipe and prize details form part of these rules. To be eligible for the giveaway, you must reply in accordance with the conditions specified in this promotion. Employees of Reader's Digest and members of their immediate families are not eligible for the giveaway. Reader's Digest cannot accept responsibility for lost, misdirected or delayed submissions.

4. The best recipe(s), as determined by Reader’s Digest, will be published on our website at www.rdasia.com and may also be featured in our Food & Recipes newsletter.

5. Entrants whose recipes are published on our website will receive a cook book valued at approximately $50. They will be notified by email and published at www.rdasia.com/winners. If for any reason they do not take the prize within six weeks of being notified, the prize will be forfeited.

6. All submissions become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter may use entrants' names, addresses and photographs for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. As a condition of entering this promotion, each entrant licenses the Promoter to use their submission in any media for an unlimited period for any reason including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes. Each entrant warrants to the Promoter that each submission is an original literary/artistic work of the entrant that does not infringe the rights of any third party. Entrants agree to indemnify the Promoter against all costs and claims by third parties arising from a breach of this warranty.

7. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of submissions and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant whose submission is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

8. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All submissions become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter's decision on all matters pertaining to this promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, non-directed or misdirected e-mail, for any technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any human error which may occur in the receipt or processing of entries. Further, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for damage to computer systems from downloading any information necessary to participate in the promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or modify the promotion at any time if the Promoter’s on-line service is no longer available or is compromised by any virus, bugs, or other intervention beyond the Promoter’s control. In either of these events, the prize may be awarded based on entries received prior to date of termination. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the internet entry process or is in any other way responsible for compromising the orderly operation of the promotion. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

10. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties in each country ("Non-Excludable Guarantees"). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.

11. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
