The Fentress Global Challenge is an annual international competition created to engage students worldwide in the exploration of future design possibilities in public architecture. For the Second annual competition, students are invited to envision the Workplace of the Future.

INVITATION

All students presently enrolled in a recognized college level Architectural or Interior Design program are invited to participate. Graduates that are not employed may also enter the competition. Individuals and teams are both eligible. Only one registration is necessary for each team.

International Public Architecture Contest AWARDS

1st Place - US$10,000 prize and a certificate (US$10,000 prize includes US$3,000 cash, 4-week paid internship at Fentress Architects in Denver, coach round-trip airfare and lodging for the duration of the paid internship).

The winning student will gain exposure to the architectural industry with an internship at an award-winning international architectural and interior design firm. The intern may assist on project teams, model making and marketing. An intern from outside the U.S. is responsible for obtaining necessary visa and paperwork; Fentress Architects will provide a letter stating the offer for internship. Internship details will be arranged one-on-one with the winning student. If a team is selected as the 1st place winner, the team must decide which team member will be awarded the internship position and how the cash prize will be allocated.

2nd Place - US$1,000 cash prize and a certificate

3rd Place - US$500 cash prize and a certificate

People's Choice - US$300 cash prize and a certificate

Online voting will be available September 26, 2012 to October 22, 2012.

Honorable Mention - Certificate

Winners understand and accept that there may be income tax implications based on the total value of the prize including prize money, travel, and lodging accommodations.
