Exhibition and Online Photoblog

The Laughter and Forgetting (L.A.F.) Project documents life on the road to democracy in the former Soviet state of Georgia. Started in 2009, L.A.F set out to chronicle the post Communist era in Eastern Europe.

With a new focus on Georgia, L.A.F. aims to share the experience of a nation caught in transition as told by Georgian and international photographers. Through a Photoblog and live photography exhibits, we will gain their perspective of the current social and political conflicts within the country.

To illustrate life in post-totalitarian countries in a collaborative online Photoblog, designed to broaden exposure and empower photographers by creating a global community; and to connect these photographers with other L.A.F participants in the form of group exhibits in the country of focus and at the Forum 2000 Human Rights Conference in Prague.
