To celebrate the launch of our new Photography Tour segment, Rainforest Expeditions invites anyone who's passionate about photography to enter our Photographic Workshops Nature Photography Contest.

YOU MUST READ THE RULES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRY.

Open to all photographic imagery depicting the subject of "nature," as interpreted by the entrant. Entries may originate in any format including, but not limited to digital files, digital prints, color transparencies, color prints, or black and white prints -- so long as they are submitted electronically.
CONTEST PRIZES of Photo Contest:
Grand Prize - A trip to Tambopata to participate in Rainforest Expeditions Photography Workshop valued at $2,111 US Dollars plus $1000 US worth of economy class air fare from your city of residence to Puerto Maldonado

Second Prize - $1,000 Total: Rainforest Expeditions $1000 gift certificate to be used towards any Rainforest Expeditions trip.

Third Prize - $500 Total: Rainforest Expeditions $500 gift certificate to be used towards any Rainforest Expeditions trip.

WHO MAY ENTER The Photo Contest

All photographers of any level who are at least 18 years of age as of the date of image submission are eligible. Individuals affiliated with Rainforest Expeditions, including employees, board members, seasonal staff, and their immediate families (children, siblings and spouses) are not eligible to enter.

THIS CONTEST IS NOT AVAILABLE IN COUNTRIES, STATES, OR PROVINCES WHERE RULES TRANSLATION, REGISTRATION, OR BONDING ARE REQUIRED, AND IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. WHAT TO ENTER

Open to all photographic imagery depicting the subject of "nature," as interpreted by the entrant. Entries may originate in any format including, but not limited to digital files, digital prints, color transparencies, color prints, or black and white prints -- so long as they are submitted electronically.

Previously published material for which non-exclusive rights were granted may be entered as long as you still maintain the right to grant Rainforest Expeditions a license. For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must secure a model release from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject's parent or guardian and provide it to Rainforest Expeditions upon request. You do not need to submit it at time of entry. Each submitted photograph, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the Contest entrant. By entering the Contest, entrant acknowledges that the submitted photograph(s) is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the photograph. Photos that violate or infringe upon another person's copyright are not eligible. The photographs entered must not, in the sole discretion of Rainforest Expeditions, contain obscene, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content. Entries deemed inappropriate will be disqualified.

HOW TO ENTER The Photo Contest

Each photo must be submitted electronically by sending as an attachment to the following email address:

In order for your photo to qualify you MUST INCLUDE the following information:

Full Name, Country of Residence, Preferred Email and, Photo Title.

No mail-in entries will be accepted. Finalists may be asked to submit a high-resolution file of at least 300dpi at 5x7 inches. Rainforest Expeditions reserves the right to disqualify contestants who are unable to provide a high-resolution file or do not submit the required information.

ONLY ONE (1) SUBMISSION PER ENTRANT. Multiple submissions will disqualify entrant.

ENTRY DEADLINES AND FEES

The Contest begins 9:00am Mountain Standard Time (MST) on June15th, 2011 and ends 11:59pm MST on September 15th, 2011. All entries must be received by 11:59pm MST on August 15, 2011 to be eligible. No entry fee is required.
