We are looking for photographs of:
However, due to data protection, we cannot accept photos with people whose faces are clearly identifiable.


This competition is completely free to enter.

All photographs need to be clearly recognisable as Norfolk or Norwich.

The closing date is midnight on Friday 22 June 2012.


Category 1

Photos of the Norfolk landscape and areas of interest – 16- 18 years.
Please note: If you are under 18 you must have your parent or legal guardian’s permission to enter.

Category 2

Photos of the Norfolk landscape and areas of interest – Over 18 years.


Prizes

Category 1 – Gain some expert knowledge and advice by
spending some one on one time with Sarah Kingston (LBIPP LMPA)
of John Parfitt Photography at their studio! Sarah studied
graphic design at Coventry University and has been working with
John Parfitt for 4 years.
Category 2 – Archant have kindly sponsored a 1 day workshop with a
photographer from the EDP.
Runner up prizes to be announced.

The shortlist will be announced on Friday 29 June 2012 and winners
are to be announced at the Bishop's Garden Event on 1 July 2012.

Prizes will be presented to the winners at the Bishop's Garden Event
on 1 July 2012 where an exhibition of the shortlisted entries will be
on show. Age UK Norfolk is not able to cover the cost of attending
this event.


Prizes are non-transferable. No alternative, cash or otherwise, will be given
for any prizes.

Norfolk Building Photo Contest Submission Details

All submissions must include your name, age, address and telephone number.

(All information will be kept confidential and not passed on to third parties).

All submissions must be 8-bit Adobe RGB (1998) at 300ppi (5MB).

Entrants can submit multiple photographs.

Photographs must be of a quality suitable to enlarging to at least A4 in size.

To help ensure your photograph meets this requirement we suggest:

Digital cameras should be set to take its photographs at its highest
resolution (highest megapixel) setting
If your digital camera also has a quality setting, set it at the best level,
sometimes referred to ‘Best’, ‘Superfine’ or ‘Fine’.

We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries.


Norfolk Building Photo Contest Rules

All photographs need to be clearly identifiable as Norfolk or Norwich.


The Age UK Norfolk and Age UK Norwich brand is realistic, positive,
empoweringand solutions focused; submissions should reflect these values.


All submissions should feel natural, truthful, optimistic and, above all, honest.


If your photograph contains people please make sure there are no
recognisable features.


Submissions must not feel bleak, cold or show negative aspects of
growing older.


Norfolk Building Photo Contest Terms and Conditions

The competition will be open for entries on 21 May 2012 and will close
at midnight on Friday 22 June 2012. Entries received after this deadline
will not be accepted.
All entries, including those that are not shortlisted, can be used both online
andin print for any purpose which Age UK Norfolk see fit – including, but
not limited to, leaflets, brochures, advertising and reports. Age UK Norfolk
will not sell any photographs received to third parties.
Photographers must take all reasonable care not to disturb the local
environment in the pursuit of images.
The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms
and conditions.
All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them
and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any
other photographic competition.
The winning entry will be that that is judged to be the most visually appealing,
original, self-explanatory and representative of the brand values. Winners will
be announced at the Bishop's Garden Event.
All prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
Employees of Age UK Norfolk and Norwich or the sponsors are not eligible
to enter.
Photographs depicting locations beyond the County of Norfolk will not
be eligible.

The Judging Panel are:

Nicolas Ruston. Nicolas has exhibited internationally and his works
are represented in numerous private and corporate collections. He
lectures at Norwich University College of the Arts and is creative director
of an advertising agency.
Sarah Kingston (LBIPP LMPA) of John Parfitt Photography. Sarah studied
graphic design at Coventry University and has been working as a
professional photographer for the last 4 years.

Judges are subject to change without notification.
