Fauna Flora Landscape Photo Contest

Show off your wildlife photography skills!

Kent Wildlife Trust is calling upon keen photographers to help capture the beauty of the Kent countryside, coastline and wildlife this spring and summer, by taking part in its Wildlife Photographers of the Year competition.

The prize contest, now in its fourth year, is open to amateurs and professionals alike, with four categories: Fauna; Flora; Landscape, coastline and people; and Junior (up to 17 years old).

Juniors may also wish to enter their school into a separate prize draw to win a Trust ‘Wildlife Guardian’ education membership.

An expert panel of judges, chaired by Phil Hurst of the Natural History Museum Photographic Unit, will be paying special attention to the originality of the shots.

For the fist time the contest is sponsored by The BarnYard restaurant and farm shop at Upchurch who have generously donated prize vouchers for the first, second and third placed winners in each category.

Winners will also get a certificate and have their photos published in the Trust’s magazine, Wild Kent, and displayed on its website and at its visitor centres.

The competition is free to enter but donations towards the conservation work of the Trust will be appreciated. The last date for receipt of entries is 30th July 2011.
