Fujifilm MPA Wedding & Portrait Awards 2011

For over two decades these Awards have introduced the public to professional photographers right across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Originally named the' Kodak Wedding & Portrait Awards' and more recently sponsored by Fujifilm, they are administered by the Master Photographers Association - the UK's premier trade body for professional photographers.

There is no cost to the consumer to enter and the photographer makes a £1 donation with each photograph entered to the very worthy PACE charity for disabled children.

The winning wedding customer receives £1000 cash prize and the photographer gains the title 'MPA/Fujifilm Wedding Photographer of the Year 2011'. There is also £1000 cash prize for the winner of the Portrait category.

There are 20 runners up prizes of £50 shopping vouchers and there are two rounds during the year. Entry deadline for the first round is 3rd May and the second is 30th August 2011.

Any professional photographer may enter the Awards on your behalf. All they need to do is download the entry forms from this website and abide by the terms and conditions.

Enter your images for the MPA Wedding & Portrait Awards and £1 of your entry fee is donated by MPA/Fujifilm to PACE Centre in Aylesbury. See www.thepacecentre.org. Please note, you do NOT need to be a member of the MPA to enter these awards.

Two Judgings: May and September 2011
Closing date(s) for entries: extended to 20th May and 30 August 2011.

There are five finalists from each of the two categories, Weddings and Portraits.

• Each finalist consumer wins a £50 Shopping voucher.
• The finalist photographers receive a Certificate.

ALL finalists go forward to the final judging in September 2011.

The overall winning prizes in each of the Wedding and Portrait categories are:

• The overall winning consumers both win £1000.
• The overall winning photographers receive the title of MPA/Fujifilm Wedding or Portrait Photographer of the Year 2011 and trophy.

Presentations will take place at the Master Photography Awards at the Hilton Hotel Newcastle on Sunday 9 October 2011.

The judging by an independent panel, comprising expert judges, will be held in May and final judging in September 2011.
