The poster festival Weltformat is for the first time this year opening up for an international poster contest for students.

The posters are reflections of the society that views them and for whom they are produced and hung in masses. The high requests and the interest from society are reflected in this fascinating media: its needs, its wishes and its dreams. The students are being challenged to consider the advantages and the powers of posters as an advertisement- and communication media. Posters for the poster - this must be the visual statement of the poster design.

This contest is open to any student worldwide.

20 posters will be nominated and presented as an exhibition, as part of the Lucerne festival in November. The winning poster will be printed offset in 500 pieces and hung by the APG Affichage throughout Switzerland.
